Vehicle found, but 5-year-old Omaha boy still missing

A vehicle police were searching for in connection with the disappearance of 5-year-old Josue Ramirez-Marinero has been found, but the boy is still missing.

He's the brother of 11-month-old Angel Ramirez-Marinero, the boy found in a dumpster Wednesday evening at an apartment complex near 84th and Harrison Streets in La Vista.  Ramirez-Marinero was last seen in a vehicle with his mother.

The vehicle, a silver 2000 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, with Nebraska plate SRH 941, was found Thursday afternoon at 2119 Arbor Street. Josue Ramirez-Marinero has not been found. The AMBER Alert was canceled because the vehicle was found.

Josue Ramirez-Marinero has short, Black hair and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray sweatpants. He may be in the company of an unknown suspect. Anyone with information about his whereabouts or the vehicle should call 911 or the Omaha Police Department at 402-444-5656 immediately.

Police confirmed Thursday afternoon that a body found Wednesday evening at 4th and Cedar Streets is that of 45-year-old Jesus Ismenia Marinero, the mother of the boys. Identification was made with fingerprint records. Omaha Police were called to 5008 South 48th Avenue Wednesday morning for a report of a missing adult female and her two sons.

There is no update at this time as to the condition of 11-month-old Angel Ramirez-Marinero, the child found in the dumpster.
