Lincoln Senator Wants 16-Year-Olds To Be Able To Vote

(Lincoln, NE)  --  A state senator is proposing to lower the voting age in Nebraska.  Anna Wishart, who represents Lincoln, announced her plan on Wednesday to offer a constitutional amendment in 2019 to lower the age to 16.  The current age for voting in Nebraska is 17, as long as the voter in question turns 18 the same year as the election is being held.
