The Douglas County Court is halting all eviction hearings until the end of May. The court confirmed yesterday the freeze will most likely prevent large numbers of people from being kicked out of their homes amid the coronavirus outbreak. Under Governor Pete Ricketts executive order, renters who are financially disadvantaged by the pandemic are protected for missed rent after March 13th.
