Bob Parlocha, host of the WFMT Radio Network’s Jazz Network, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, March 15th. Parlocha died of a heart attack and had been rehabilitating from an illness over the past year. He was 76. Bob Parlocha was based in the Bay Area and was the first and only host of the Jazz Network, a program heard daily on stations throughout the United States. He was also a tenor and soprano saxophone player.
