Madeleine Peyroux will appear at Holland Performing Arts Center, September 29th at 7:30pm, in support of her newly reissued Careless Love album. Peyroux spent her teenage years busking the busy streets of Paris, which now can be heard in her intimate, laidback style of folk-pop songwriting coupled with spellbinding jazz. She was discovered by a talent agent from Atlantic Records, which released her debut album, Dreamland.
Her next album, Careless Love, was released by Rounder Records and produced by Larry Klein. Careless Love was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after having sold half a million copies. She won Best International Jazz Artist at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2007.
