(Council Bluffs, IA) -- A new disaster declaration is in effect for Council Bluffs, Crescent and Pottawattamie County. The declaration was issued on Friday due to renewed flooding along the Missouri River. The Missouri River is expected to crest today at more than 31 feet, and it is expected to remain at that level until Wednesday. Local officials also submitted a request to the Iowa governor's office to reactivate the Iowa Individual Assistance Program for residents who have been affected by the flooding.
