The Expanding Housing Choices Forum Seeks to Solve Looming Omaha Problem, "Live & Local" Discusses

The Expanding Housing Choices forum will provide recommendations for missing "middle" housing and will focus on ever-changing housing needs due to an aging population and changes in market preferences.  Orange Splot, the featured presenter, is a housing development company that creates community-oriented, affordable and green housing.

Josie Schafer, Director of UNO Center for Public Affairs Research, and Jeff Spiehs, Community Relations Manager for MAPA, sit down with Mike Hogan to discuss the housing situation in the greater Omaha area.  While there is a looming problem with the lack of "middle" housing ($130k - $200k), they discuss the need for more multi-family housing units and communities, and how that problem can be solved.
