Marine Gets 3 Years For Weapons Charges

A Marine is heading to prison for trying to bring several weapons onto Offutt Air Force Base.  Private First Class Ali Al-Kazahg was sentenced earlier this week in Hawaii to three years behind bars after pleading guilty to possessing a machine gun and falsifying an official statement.  Prosecutors say a sentry guard asked Al-Kazahg if he had any weapons and he said he did not.  But he later revealed a cache of weapons and ammunition, including a rifle, pistol, and a bump stock, which allows a gun to fire more rapidly.  The judge also ruled Al-Kazahg should be discharged for "bad conduct."
