Matthias Jeske
Local Morning Edition HostFormer UNO MavRadio DJ Matthias Jeske was named the Air Personality of the Year in 2014 and 2015 by the Broadcast Education Association. He has also appeared on “American Idol,” and was the proud recipient of an Omaha Press Club scholarship.
Matthias received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with minors in Broadcasting, Creative Writing and Theater. Later, he attended Central Michigan University, Working towards a Master’s Degree in Communications and as a graduate assistant in the audio production unit.
Matthias has occasionally spent time dabbling in local theatre. In 2015, he landed seven supporting roles in the Omaha Community Playhouse's production of 'Monty Python's Spamalot', winning awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical from the Theater Arts Guild, the Omaha Community Playhouse awards, and Omaha Arts and Entertainment Awards.
