New Laws Include Child Safety Seats

(Omaha, NE)  --  Among the new laws going into effect in Nebraska is one focusing on child passenger safety.  Beginning New Year's Day, children up to age two must ride in a rear-facing secured car seat.  Children up to age eight must ride in a secure car seat or booster seat.  Kids up to age eight can also ride in the backseat, as long as it is equipped with a seat belt and not already occupied by other kids under eight-years-old.
