Common Soil Seed Library

Common Soil seed packets are available at all Omaha Public Library branches, housed in upcycled wooden card catalogs containing around 115 varieties of flower, herb, and vegetable garden staples. Would-be seed borrowers need only a current Omaha Public Library card to check out up to 15 seed packets (each containing roughly 10 seeds) per calendar month, per cardholder. We then close things out with Erin Duer and a booktalk on The Dance Tree by Kiran Millwood-Hargrave.

David started in broadcasting at his hometown radio station in Holdrege, Nebraska while still in high school. He went on to earn journalism and law degrees from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and has worked for a number of radio and television stations around the United States. He is a big advocate for community media and loves being a part of the local fabric of NPR. He also has a cat.
