MCC's Sage Student Bistro

We visit Metro Community College's Sage Student Bistro, a training restaurant open to the public as part of their Institute for the Culinary Arts program.

Special thanks to Emma Helwig and Amanda Sheeler for taking the time to show me around, and to the MCC students for sharing their experiences as I interfered with their work.

David Koesters

David first started broadcasting at his hometown radio station in Holdrege, Nebraska while still in high school. He went on to earn journalism and law degrees from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, served as an officer in the U.S. Army, and has worked for radio and television stations across the United States. He is a big advocate for community media and loves being a part of the local fabric of NPR. He also has a cat, Pickles.
