Mapping Nebraska: From Nations to Statehood

See Nebraska's history from colonial times to the 1890s through a collection of maps. Map collector Micah Evans demonstrates how historical maps can help us uncover our nation's history and the stories of our own communities. The event is Saturday, June 29th, from 2–3:00pm at the Genealogy & Local History Room. Also, Bethany shares the book Looking for Jane by Heather Marshall.

David Koesters

David started in broadcasting at his hometown radio station in Holdrege, Nebraska while still in high school. He went on to earn journalism and law degrees from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and has worked for a number of radio and television stations around the United States. He is a big advocate for community media and loves being a part of the local fabric of NPR. He also has a cat.
