Omaha High School Graveyard*

DRK

**CORRECTION/CLARIFICATION**

After this story aired, Stu Pospisil of the Omaha World Herald reached out to the NE State Historical Society about potentially writing a piece on it.

In his research, he discovered that the skeletons described in the articles were more likely from a school nearby, not the one that became Omaha Central High School.

There is still room for debate on the subject, but it appears the issue is the free and loose play of the term "downtown school" used by the reporters at the time.

We visit the Nebraska State Historical Society to unearth some grim remains from the grounds of an Omaha high school.

Special thanks to Matt Piersol for finding and sharing this story with us during our visit to the NSHS site at 1500 R Street in Lincoln, Nebraska.
