Jazz on the Green returns to Turner Park at Midtown Crossing this summer for its annual series of live music performances.   Darcy Malone and the Tangle perform on August 15th at 7:30pm. This New Orleans band knows how to get you moving and grooving! Malone is no stranger to performing. She is the daughter of the legendary singer from the Radiators, Dave Malone and Suzy Malone, founding member of the Pfister Sisters. The band delivers a unique blend of blues, rock and alternative music. Jazz on the Green is open to the public. For more information you may visit

The 50th annual Music In The Parks Summer Concert Series is the longest running, most diverse outdoor concert series in the area.  A wide variety of local musicians, including many jazz artists--perform each summer in outdoor venues for your listening pleasure. The second part of the 16th Annual Playing with Fire Free Summer Music Festivals will take place on Saturday, August 24th at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing. Featured festival artists include:Indigenous, Wille and the Bandits, Sebastian Lane Band and Far and Wide/BluesEd (Youth Artist Program). The festival venue is at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing, 175 S. 31st Avenue in Omaha. The event is open to the public, however free will donations will be accepted. The Brownville Jazz Festival & Focus is a dynamic day-long festival that will feature a variety of performances including regional professional and youth groups and a headlining concert.The event is free to the public and takes place August 24th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Main Street in Brownville, Nebraska. The festival schedule includes the following: Performances by Northwest Missouri State University Jazz Combo, Henry Tamsu Trio, Jim Lower Big Band, Duke Riggs Trio and Headliner Jeff Hamilton Trio feat. vocalist Dee Daniels and so much more as well as a one of a kind interactive musical learning experience by Jeff Hamilton and Dee Daniels.
