In New Book, Omaha Attorney Jay Jackson Argues Decency Can Solve the Political Divide

Omaha attorney Jay Jackson is the author of "Decent Discourse," a book encouraging Americans to be compassionate toward those we disagree with.

On today’s show, Jay Jackson is in conversation with Tom Knoblauch about his new book, "Decent Discourse: Saving Your Country By Loving Your (Wrong?) Neighbor."

Jackson is an attorney and Air Force veteran living in Omaha. In "Decent Discourse," he sees respect and grace for those whose opinions we dislike as a way to improve our polarized climate.

Courtney is back in her hometown after graduating from the University of Kansas in 2019 with degrees in journalism and film. While at KU, she was the arts and culture editor of the University Daily Kansan and had a summer internship at KCUR, Kansas City's NPR member station. She has three pet rats and has seen almost every Audrey Hepburn movie.
